Bridging Communities, Enriching Lives
The Hutton-Dabaso Twinning Association fosters a partnership between the village of Hutton in Somerset and Dabaso in Kilifi, coastal Kenya.
What We Do
A UK-registered charity (No. 1104624) established in 1999, we promotes cross-cultural friendship and mutual support through educational and healthcare initiatives.
Dabaso School
We believe that all children should have access to good education. We build new classrooms, upgrade overall facilities. We supply books and learning materials, and enhance connectivity, giving access to digital resources.
Dabaso Health Clinic
We fund two dedicated nursing staff, who deliver vital health education and promotion, malaria testing, mosquito nets, essential medicines and vaccinations.
Bursaries
Thanks to individual donors and fundraising efforts, we provide school bursaries for eight children each year, giving them access to further education and enhancing future employment opportunities.
The Local Community
We host year-round events to support our work in Dabaso, while also offering valuable resources and activities for the local community in Hutton. Our efforts have funded a defibrillator installation and brought a range of community events to life.
